Ben has recently finished his Sunset Surfer painting, charcoal and acrylic on canvas, 30" x 30". This figurative minimalist abstract was inspired by the joys of coastal living and the beauty of surfing culture and influenced by the Pablo Picasso's surrealistic work and his exploration of the boundary between abstraction and figuration. Ben has recently completed his Sumo Wrestler In Blue painting, charcoal and acrylic on canvas, 30" x 30". This figurative minimalist abstract was inspired by the traditional Japanese martial art of Sumo wrestling and influenced by the Pablo Picasso's surrealistic and biomorphic exploration of the boundary between abstraction and figuration.
Ben was working on this painting, on and off, for half a year, changing it over and over again. He is currently working on another Sumo Wrestler painting that he had started even before the Sumo Wrestler in Blue, it is work in progress. Will post it soon, stay tuned.

Ben Gertsberg is offering a new series of colorful original acrylic paintings " Succulent Abstractions ". The series of succulent abstracts includes five paintings, in five different colors. Each unique piece features monochrome background, with some of the paintings having more dense background and some more visibly retaining the brushstrokes. The one artwork shown is titled " Succulent In Orange ". Other colors used are turquoise, violet, green and red.

NEW release of fine art photography series " Very Old City Architecture ", by Ben and Raisa Gertsberg. Jerusalem Old City and its architecture is the primary focus of this series.
All artwork is mostly done in muted colors of blue, beige and green, with touches of white. The color palette seems to best reflect the feel of deserted streets, abandoned buildings and architectural details of this ancient city important not only for the Middle East but for the rest of the world as well.
The images first appear slightly abstracted but, when examined more closely, they look very realistic, richly textured and filled with intricate geometric patterns. The series creates nostalgic mood reminding us of the times long past but not forgotten.

Inspired by the innovative and compelling idea "to view life through the prism of pure artistic feeling" this collection includes three paintings composed of simple geometrical shapes, such as squares, circles, triangles and quadrilaterals, in complex relationships on the plane or in the process of moving into the three-dimensional space.
In this unique interpretation of the style, color gradients and use of multiple layers make simple geometric forms appear submerged into the layers of richly textured background with a limited palette of colors - orange, yellow, mauve, green and blue.

Earthy Woman is one of 18 images that received Stellar Art Award in "Digital Arts: California" international art show. This juried show attracted 78 accomplished digital artists from 27 countries, and 382 works were submitted ranging in method and style, across the digital spectrum.
