Pink Plumeria - from Flowers Of Paradise series, by award-winning artists Ben and Raisa Gertsberg, aka BRG, who collaborate under the name It's a Beautiful World!
Plumeria, or lei flowers, known also as frangipani, grow in warm tropical areas of the Pacific, including the islands of Hawaii. This fragrant flower was named after Charles Plumier, a 17th century botanist. The pretty plumeria is a deciduous shrub or small tree and is quite easy to grow. It is one of the perfume makers' favorites, requires no special care, and the gardener can enjoy its rich, seductive scent and beautiful colored flowers. The delicate blooms are found in all shades of yellow, white, pink and red, or combinations of all these colors. This plant is also called Temple Flower and the tree is known as Temple Tree or Pagoda Tree.
