Description
Mission San Juan Capistrano No 5 - from Places To Enjoy series, by award-winning artists Ben and Raisa Gertsberg, aka BRG, who collaborate under the name It's a Beautiful World!
One of the oldest buildings in California still in use, Mission San Juan Capistrano is a delight to visit. Old tiles and bricks used to pave the floors and construct the building take you back in time when only monks walked the corridors and pathways. The Mission is also known as Father Serra's Church or Serra's Chapel. Both for Orange County locals and tourists who travel to Southern California the Mission has become a must see landmark and it is now a museum as well.
Enjoy this piece of nostalgic artwork inspired by the historic place of worship. We used perspective composition, earth tones and pastel colors to capture the weathered beauty of richly textured walls, columns and other architectural details. Imagine living there, praying there or just sitting on the bench watching time go by.
