Description
Mission San Juan Capistrano No 11 - from Places To Enjoy series, by award-winning artists Ben and Raisa Gertsberg, aka BRG, who collaborate under the name It's a Beautiful World!
One of the oldest buildings in California still in use, Mission San Juan Capistrano is a delight to visit and to imagine the time when only monks walked its grounds and pathways. The Mission is also known as Father Serra's Church or Serra's Chapel. Both for Orange County locals and tourists who travel to Southern California the Mission has become a must see landmark, as well as a museum and a botanical garden.
Enjoy this scenic landscape inspired by the historic place of worship. Lush green grass, tall palms, eucalyptus trees and flowering shrubs in the courtyard provide a restful refuge on a hot California day. Bright blue skies and vibrant colors of nature create a dramatic background for the chapel bell tower and the main building, with textured walls, arches and other architectural details in rich terracotta tones.
