About Ben and Raisa Gertsberg
Ben and Raisa Gertsberg are a husband and wife artist duo. They create original acrylic paintings, digital fine art and fine art photography and collaborate under the name It's a Beautiful World!
Ben and Raisa share a passion for life, they have always known that all one needs to do to find beauty is look around. Their art is inspired by nature, coastal lifestyle, as well as travels, urban architecture and the joys of city life. The artists naturally gravitate towards strong minimalist compositions, at the same time revealing their rich sense of color - their images are unique, beautifully composed and full of lush intrigue. The artists' work features a variety of color palettes, as well as black and white and sepia tones.
Ben's original paintings show his interest in a variety of subjects and styles and his willingness to experiment. His figurative abstracts are inspired by Picasso, his minimalist botanical series is a homage to Matisse's cut-outs, his geometrical abstractions express his own take on Malevich's suprematism. Ben's semi-abstract landscapes, seascapes, still life, portraits, figures, botanical and animal paintings demonstrate a unique and unexpected approach to familiar subjects.
Ben and Raisa have a particular interest in modern and contemporary styles of interior design. They have worked with interior designers on a number of residential and commercial projects, including award-winning The Sofia Hotel renovation project in San Diego and The Sunset Magazine 2005 Idea House in Ladera Ranch, CA. Their work decorates the South Coast Medical Center in Laguna Beach, CA, as well as offices, apartment buildings and private residences throughout Orange County, CA, and beyond.
Ben and Raisa accept commissions and love creating images that will make your space unique and special. They also license imagery for commercial and private use. For commissions and licensing information, please email brgart@itsabeautifulworld.biz
